  • Electronic Notebook. Students can drag the cursor over parts of the text they want to copy then click on a notebook icon and their text is entered. They may annotate their notes with comments or questions for further study. From the notebook, they have the option to print or save their files to a disk.
  • Software Evaluation Form. Guides the student through educational software evaluations and calculates the results, providing a printout and a database of evaluations.
  • Lesson Planner. Allows students to generate and print out lesson plans while evaluating software.
  • Word Search Generator. If a student remembers a key word and wants to find it quickly, instead of having to skim several pages, he can find the word electronically.
  • Readability Index Calculator. Enables future teachers to enter samples and the computer determines the readability of the passage.
  • References. Each module contains well-documented literature reviews. Each reference cited in the text may be clicked on and the full reference pops up on that screen. Many current references have been added.
  • Probes and explorations. Each module ends with a series of follow-up activities and exercises.
  • Software demos. Many of the chapters have a collection of interactive demo programs from well-known commercial software.
  • Enhanced graphics. Improved three dimensional graphics and color.
